No matter where I went, I would always identify this one tree that, whenever I crossed by, would remind me to take a breath or that things would be alright. A comfort tree, you could say.
We have the innate need to be close to plants. Whether it's to decorate our homes with pretty and cute houseplants or to occasionally sink our feet into the grass, we know and crave the security of nature.
So naturally, when Matthew Gaston popped up in my feed (thanks to the Instagram algorithm), I immersed myself in the informative, creative, and massively entertaining reels about plants, bees, Pokémon, and occasionally music and fitness.
Matthew is an educator and was the Director of Education at Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy. His story started with a cactus and now extends across all species and with his social media tactics that shall be the same for us all.
What makes us inclined to plants and why are certain ones more preferred than the others? How does the shape of the plants impact us and how do we react to plants.

Let me know your thoughts on the episode and tell us your favourite flora.
